Fabric Samples

Swatches:
We can send small swatches of our fabric for color reference. The piece will be approximately 2" by 5", sometimes larger if Molly happens to have a leftover lying around. The best way to see a fabric is to purchase a small amount. The smallest amount we sell is quarter yard for a sample that is larger than the free swatch. Many of our customers prefer to buy 1/2yds (.5) rather than 1/4yds (.25) of Decorating Fabrics so that they obtain a more usable piece of fabric. This larger amount might become a pillow! This is a good way to see what the fabric will look like on your chair, couch or draperies. Quilters often choose to purchase trial pieces as fat quarters.

Fat Quarters:

All of our quilting fabrics are available for purchase as fat quarters as well as by-the-yard. A Traditional quarter yard of quilting weight fabric is 9"x45". A quilter's fat quarter is still one quarter of a yard of fabric: It is half the width and half the length of one yard of 45" fabric (22.5" x 18"). Most quilters find the shape of fat quarters to be more useful.

Cuttings:

Many customers are not familiar with the terms: Decorating Fabrics, Outdoor Fabric, Weather proof fabrics, Sunbrella, Acrylic outdoor furniture fabrics, quilting weight cottons, Bali batiks etc. We can send you a tiny cutting of fabric free of charge if you simply need to feel the weight of a particular fabric.

The best way to request a fabric cutting is via email. Please refer to the fabric name as we have listed it and be sure to include your mailing address. Also, please understand that the cuttings we send will not be large enough for you to see the full fabric design.
